Are you looking for a new air fryer but are tired of single-use kitchen appliances? Here’s my review of the Oster French Door Air Fryer countertop oven. If you are like me, your kitchen is full of single-use appliances. Unfortunately, my current kitchen doesn’t have the storage or countertop space for too many items that serve a single purpose. Early in summer, my Ninja air fryer was sitting on my stove waiting to be stored. My partner moved it to the corner of the stovetop to clean it and accidentally turned on the burner. Unfortunately, the bottom of my air fryer melted, so I had to purchase a new one. I stumbled across the Oster Air Fryer with french doors. It has ten cooking functions, so no matter what I need to make, this countertop oven has me covered.
The first thing to know about the Oster air fryer is this thing is enormous. It reminds me of the microwave we had from the ’70s that took two adults to move. As a result, the Oster french door air fryer is super greedy with your counter space. However, my Black and Decker toaster oven already consumed my counter, so it wasn’t a big deal. Still, the Oster french door air fryer oven is taller and takes up every inch of the counter. As a result, I barely have enough room to open the french doors fully. Read on to learn why that is important.
Should you buy the Oster French Door Air Fry Oven?
This countertop French door air fryer combo has plenty of settings to fit any cooking mood. This oven has ten convenient cooking presets: bake, air fry, toast, slow cook, dehydrate, broil, roast, warm, pizza, and turbo convection. The versatility of this kitchen appliance has all your cooking needs covered.
Plus, it has an extra-large capacity with three cooking rack positions, which allows you to make complete meals fast and easy. Add crispness to a variety of foods with the air fryer setting. You can slow cook your recipes for better flavor as well as dehydrate for healthy snacks. The elegant french doors on this over are nice because it gives you full access to the deliciousness inside.
If all you want is an air fryer, you should keep looking. However, if you want a kitchen appliance that can replace many, the Oster French Door Air Fryer countertop oven is for you. This appliance would have been excellent when I was living in Arizona. Instead of turning on the oven and heating the whole house, I could have baked in this versatile countertop wonder.
What are the cooking functions of the Oster French Door Air Fry Oven?
I appreciate the versatility Oster brings to my kitchen with the French door air fryer oven. How many times have you wished for a second oven, especially during family gatherings? The Oster french door air fry oven is a cheaper way to get that second oven you always wished you could have. However, the documentation included is awful. While this kitchen appliance is well-built, they could have spent a few more hours on the documentation.

What are the features of the Oster French Door Air Fryer Oven?
Elegant french door design
Both doors open easily with a single pull. Even more, they are connected, so opening one door automatically opens the other. The double doors on the Oster Air Fry Oven make inserting and removing your food easy.
Extra-large capacity
Because the Oster Air Fry Oven is extra-large, you can fit an entire 15×12 inch baking pan in it. Or, you can cook two pizzas at once so everyone can have the toppings they want. In addition, there are three rack positions to accommodate a variety of foods.
Interior light
I’ve not seen another kitchen appliance that included an interior light. Even more, the light turns on automatically when the oven is preheated, taking the guesswork out of knowing when you can put your food in or not. Thanks to the super bright light, you can check on your food without even opening the doors.
Lightning-fast preheat
Oster designed the French door air fryer oven to preheat 40 percent faster. Even more, it uses 50 percent less energy than your standard oven. I’ve been impressed with how quickly it preheats, and I no longer waste time waiting for the oven to get hot enough.
Accessories included with the Oster French Door Air Fryer Oven
My appliance came with an air fry rack, an integrated wire rack, a baking pan, and a crumb tray. So far, I’ve not needed anything else to take full advantage of the versatility of the Oster French Door Air Fryer Oven.
Digital controls
It is 2021, so I expect all appliances to have digital controls. Nevertheless, it is a feature worth mentioning. Using the Oster Air Fry Oven, you can set precise cooking times and temperatures.
Buyer beware of the Oster Air Fryer French Door Oven
None of these cons are show-stoppers for me. I’m still very pleased with my purchase of the Oster French Door Air Fryer Oven. However, there are some things you should be aware of and consider before buying this expensive kitchen appliance.
- The doors on the Oster French Door Air Fryer get incredibly hot, and if you don’t open them fully, they could slam closed on your hand, resulting in third-degree burns.
- There is about a quarter-inch gap between the doors. Many reviewers complain about this, but I didn’t feel it impacted the performance of this countertop oven.
- Temperature settings are in 25-degree increments, which means the temperature settings aren’t as precise as necessary.
- The mesh shelf included for air frying means if you use the Oster French Door Air Fryer for mozzarella cheese sticks, you will have a mess if they bust open.
- The convection fan is on the right, which means you will spend time rotating the shelf for even cooking. I wonder why Oster didn’t put the fan in the rear as common sense would dictate.
- The Oster French Door Air Fryer Oven is massive and will consume an entire counter. So make sure you can dedicate counter space when purchasing this versatile kitchen appliance.
- The documentation doesn’t include any guidance on adjusting temperature or cooking time based on the ten preset settings. The direction provided to me by Google didn’t result in perfectly cooked or crisp food.
- The clock runs fast. If you are like me, there are already multiple clocks in the kitchen, so this doesn’t impact my overall review of the Oster French Door Air Fryer.
Overall review of the Oster French Door Air Fryer Oven
The stainless steel housing combined with the French doors gives this air fryer oven an elegant look. The unique design opens both doors with a single pull, so one hand can remove or insert the food. The control panel has useful touch commands and adjustable time and temperature.
I love that I don’t have to heat my house with the traditional oven, especially in summer. The Oster Air Fry Oven replaces the need for many other gadgets. It is fast and hot, saving time without sacrificing food quality.
If you are searching for a new air fryer or looking to consolidate kitchen appliances, I highly recommend ordering the Oster French Door Air Fry Oven. While I deeply miss my Ninja Air Fryer (which I highly recommend), it was hard to purchase another single-use gadget since my kitchen storage is limited.
